I’m so glad you’re here.
Sis, the culture is always trying to tell us something about our identity and who we are. As women, we’re constantly fighting to see the truth of who we are according to how God sees us. The messages we see on social media, tv, and hear from our family and friends can tell us we’re not enough or that anxiety, fear, and doubt are the biggest enemies in front of us. Actually, the biggest enemy is not knowing who we truly are as women of God. We need to know that the truth of God’s Word is what is real for us so we can live as powerful, bold women.
In 2016, I started this blog on my journey to accepting God-truths about me. I want to share my experiences, my thoughts, and my reflections on my spiritual journey with God because I realize that this journey is not a solo one. I believe that I am chosen to be a light in this generation as a young, black Christian woman, wife, and mother. But I also believe that you – your story, your flaws, your life lessons – are chosen to be a light too so shine bright, sis!
The word is identity. Who are you?
Girl, you are royalty (1 Peter 2:9). You have a story (Revelation 12:11). You have a purpose (Ephesians 2:10). You are valued (John 15:16). You are loved (John 3:16). And most of all, sis, you are not alone (Joshua 1:9).
The beauty of the journey is not found in the final destination but the lessons acquired along the way.
Let’s journey and shine bright together!
xo, Wy
